About this Role:
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supported Independent Living (SIL) House Coordinator to be appointed to our team. The SIL House Coordinator will lead and support a team of SIL support workers in the day-to-day care and support to the participant and operational
requirements of providing supports in a SIL house.
The position is responsible for providing the operational supervision of the SIL House, motivating support workers and supporting their daily performance in exceptional service delivery.

As the SIL House Coordinator your duties will include:
- Work with and assist the Services Manager and Services Team Leader in managing the SIL house and support workers
- Coordinate, train, mentor, and supervise SIL support workers
- Coordinate and oversee the supervision of the relevant SIL house
- Oversee daily reporting by employees, completion of required reports, hosting briefing sessions and team meetings and running of the SIL house
- Manage and resolve SIL house challenges through innovative problem solving
- Building sustainable relationships with support workers and participants to increase engagement, utilisation and retention rates
- Producing documents from CTARS and Microsoft Office
- Your role is to provide quality care, managing low to complex challenging behaviours in various 24/7 facilities working daytime shifts. Daily duties include social engagement, medication administration, personal care, following daily living skills program with a staffing ratio of 1/1 and 2/1
- The House Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational requirements of the SIL Accommodation, work distribution and outputs of disability services in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures
- You will be responsible for building effective teams through engagement, supervision and development of employees within the relevant services
About You:
As an experiencedHouse Coordinator, you will bring with you a wonderful attitude and approach that is client focused. With the participant’s needs front and centre, you will have:
- Proven experience in providing direct support to complex needs clients who require a high level of care, behaviour management and physical assistance to complete daily activities
- Strong manual handling skills including hoist and wheelchair
- Practical knowledge working with individuals with behaviours of concern as well as experience across both physical and mental disabilities.
- Basic administrative tasks – report in app daily progress notes and complete comprehensive handovers at the end of each shift
- Ability to confidently report to management in case of any incidents or issues.
- One year experience in similar role is highly regarded
- Experience supervising support workers
- Resilient mindset and ability to channel stressful situations to a positive outcome
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment
- Excellent communication, the ability to work well in a team environment and independently and proactively
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Status
- National Police Check (within 3 months)
- Passport and/or Visa (if applicable)
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- NDIS New Worker Induction Module
- Any relevant qualifications such as Certificate, Degree and AHPRA registration.
